Prayer for the New Year

E Ke Akua, i tēia makahiki hou, te ho’olaha aku nei au me ta mana’o e ho’āpono i tou ho’ohiki e mālama mai i to’u helehelena a pau, ia manawa a mau loa aku. Ho’āpono i to’u hele ‘ana a me to’u holo ‘ana, e ha’awi mai i tou maluhia a me tou mau ‘uhane.

Mataio 8:1-4

A iho maila ia mai ka mauna mai, he nui loa ka poʻe i ukali iā ia. Aia hoʻi kekahi lēpero i hele mai i ona lā, moe ihola i mua ona, ʻī maila, “E ka Haku, a i makemake ʻoe, e hiki nō iā ʻoe ke huikala mai iaʻu.” ʻŌ akula Iesū i kona lima, hoʻopā ihola iā ia, ʻī akula, “Ke makemake nei au, e huikala ʻia hoʻi ʻoe.” Ola koke ihola kona maʻi lēpera. ʻĪ akula ʻo Iesū iā ia, “E ao ʻoe, mai haʻi aku iā haʻi. Akā, e hele ʻoe e hōʻike aku iā ʻoe iho i ke kahuna, e hāʻawi i ka mōhai a Mose i kauoha mai ai, i mea e ʻike ai lākou.”

This passage reminds us that miracles happen when we have faith, and Jesus calls us to obey His guidance. In this case, He told the healed man ” mai Hai aku ia ha’i” which means not to share the news, but to go to the priest. Why? To fulfill scripture and reveal God’s divine plan. 📜

Let this be a reminder that our mana’o’i’o and hoolohe ana to God’s will can lead to extraordinary blessings. Also to keep your miracle silent 🙌 Listen carefully to the instructions of the Lord. La maitai ia outou!

I’m grateful for growth. I’m grateful for the challenges and the people on my path who challenge me. They allow humility, kindness, self-control, joy, and love to activate within me. YES, I am grateful because the characters of God radiate from inside of me 💯.

Aloha Ohana, todays encouragement comes from the book of Joshua. The Lord God was about to show His Glory for many to see His wonders in the earth. In my reading this morning there is a sense of sweetness of God to say to the new leader in command that He will be with Joshua the same way He was with Moses. You may be in a season like Joshua you feel like you are the new one on the block oh the Lord sweetness is upon you new obedient ones in the Lord. Do not fear the Lord has made provison for you ahead of time. Your obedience is more than enough. You are more than enough walk by faith and not by sight.

Isaia 26:3

Exodus 12:6-7

6 Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight. 7 Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs.

Aloha Ohana, hope you and your families are well. Today I was blessed to join a women’s fellowship on zoom. What caught my attention or shall I say what the Lord highlighted to me was the specifics of this verse. Actually stop what you are doing and go ahead and read Exodus chapter 12:1-12 to understand what Im talking about. The point i want to make clear today is pay attention at the clear instructions the Lord is telling the people to do so they will be protected. Verse 7 says they are to take some of the blood and smear it on the top and the side of the door post of where they ate. What is my point here? My point here is the Lord has everything in place for our protection our job is to heed to the specific instructions and do it. We are not to figure it all out our portion is to do what he ask us to do in His Word. The blessings, the protection, the prosperity, the favor is all there we need to obey His Word. Activate, what the Lord has spoken for us to do and do it! He already have the blue print for us to succeed. So let us bodly OBEY Him!

Hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving Fellowship with those you love. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Lets get straight into the our encouragement today. Lets start by reading Exodus 17:8:15

8 The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim. 9 Moses said to Joshua, “Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.”

10 So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. 11 As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. 12 When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. 13 So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.

14 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven.”

15 Moses built an altar and called it The Lord is my Banner. 16 He said, “Because hands were lifted up against[c] the throne of the Lord,[d] the Lord will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation.”

This morning the Lord lead me to reread this story. What enlightened my understanding that I never got before was the fact that there was a clear attack to the people of God. Like the wise leader Moses was he sent out the best to battle which was Joshua. He gave Joshua authority to select the men’s to go with him to battle. While in the battle Moses and two other went up the hill with the staff of the Lord. Verse 11 said that as long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were wining, but whenever he lowered his hand the Amalekites were wining. So there is a couple things that the Lord is showing us in todays reading let me break it down to how the Lord showed it to me.

Firstly, verse 8 there is an attack against the people of God. Secondly, who is your highly trained in your team of prayer warriors? Those are the ones the Lord is calling into the battle. Ohana, do not go alone to battle gather your prayer warriors those who are trained and skilled in intersession. And thirdly, Moses is a sign to us that he was standing in the gap for Joshua and his men’s. Not only was Moses standing in the gap for Joshua but verse 12 says Aaron and Hur was standing in the gap for Moses as his hands grew tired. There is a company of prayer warriors being called out to stand in the gap for those in the battle. The strategies in these verses was specific in order for Joshua to have won the battle. Aloha Ohana, a new day is upon us. Do you see around you? ALL things are made new. Things are changing, your normal route is not so normal any more. There is somewhat a irritant on the things you used to do and its not satisfying you anymore. Your normal complaining sessions is like you can almost feel the disgust. The murmur about others has a sour taste. You can feel as tho something is saying, “this is not your best what are you doing?” We preach to our kids to be a good person when they are at school or sports and parents we do the very thing we say not to do. I know I am coming in hot on this topic but Ohana. The Lord is highlighting ‘Its a new day”. Here are three things to enter in your new day and sustain it. First, lets take care of your surroundings detach yourself from people who complain. There is a dark spiritual transfer when they are complaining to you. Scripture says it send the destroyer to you. Secondly, clean your mouth. You are the top 5 people you associate with. Thirdly, meditate on things that are pure and holy. what does this mean? It means to speak life. This may take some time but be patient since number one was taken cared of you will have an easier time to speak life. Woah!!! I wana apply this my own self!! As you probably know by now if you have served the Lord for a while now you will get uncomfortable. There is a requirement that the Lord is looking for in His Daughter’s and Son’s in the faith. The kind that is pure and holy. The kine who can mute their mouth from foul talking or jus plain out complacency. I don’t know what struggles you are having ohana but there is a requirement in this season to level up your life specifically your waha. Waha in Hawaiian mean mouth. Ohana our mouth is what will bless or cancel God’s best for us. I like to call this #MUTE jus like on zoom you have to mute your self after you talk? Yes, use this analogy in your next opportunity #MUTE. Start disciplining your mouth with words that edify build up and encourage. I am talking to the children of God the people in the faith. Last night I had a disturbing yet revelatory dream. I woke up with a sense of heads up and how the enemy wants to come in and distract the people of God to get them to rage in anger. This kind of action flows from a place of control and fear. The enemy wants access into your life to display rage and fear. Rage is not of God. Do not entertain such action. Cancel that kind of spirit immediately.

1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

ALOHA will be your greatest weapon in the days ahead. Because God is ALOHA. The bible says do not love the world or anything in the world, love for the Father is not in them. Verse 16 says for everything in the world the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

Courageous like Shadrach, Meshach and Abendego

People of God we need to stand bold like the men’s in Daniel 3:13, they did not bow down to the worldly King. They stood their ground and fought for their faith. They displayed their Love for the LORD. My question to you will you stand bold before rage, fear, control and anger? I say YES you will, period! Your standing for your family, marriages, communities, your neighbors, your schools, your church, your island. STAND for righteousness in the midst of adversity. Be watchful friends!! Be purposeful!!!

Choose ALOHA all the time!
